WebA problem with upvotes/downvotes is that people do it just to be mean. People disagree, so they just downvote. Then, when people see a downvoted post/comment they absentmindedly downvote it too. WebReddit has total control over the voting system, I don't see any reason why they would downvote things using some users' accounts; it makes no sense. If there are tabs for "upvoted" and "downvoted", then everyone can see your votes. If not, then they can't. When I look at it, I don't see those tabs.
