In short: If you want to do this just create a text file named "fog_be_gone.txt" then add the string "set ("sim/private/controls/fog/fog_be_gone", 0.2)" then save and rename as "fog_be_gone.lua" and copy to your \X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\FlyWithLua\Scripts folder.
