If I put my foot to the floor it doesn't shift until a high speed (haven't had a chance to go above 50 with linkage installed yet) and if I'm crusin along at say 35 and I put my foot to the floor it'll kickdown. The reason being is that the glide had the starter mount built on, unless there is an adapter for such, as a later transmission did not.
