I created 3 rules for the Spiceworks scanner: I allowed the ICMP protocol both ways from my inventory scanner IP. I allowed TCP ports 6;135;445 both ways both ways from my inventory scanner IP. I also allowed UDP port 137 both ways from my inventory scanner IP.
