WebOct 9, 2024 · This is why ‘1:1’ infinity fabric ratio is so important – and why ram that can run at higher frequencies allows higher synchronised infinity fabric speeds, and so faster CPU operation. To test this we set up our rig with a Ryzen 3600 CPU with PBO on, the MSi B450m Mortar motherboard, and some very flexible RAM: The Patriot Viper 2x8GB ... WebAug 14, 2024 · I think any thing over 1800MHz FCLK is thrashing the IF and pushing it closer and closer to it's limits. This is why AMD's own presentations showed 3600MHz as the sweet spot with the 3733MHz ram as the peak frequency. I suspect not a lot of 3000 series CPU's can achieve this 1:1 speed due to FCLK limitations.

I'm not familiar enough with the 1st gen Ryzen, but for 3rd gen Ryzen (Zen 2), memory operating above 3600 typically performs worse due to the speed of the infinity fabric. I don't think running 3200 speed on your memory should be a problem. WebOct 5, 2024 · The Infinity Fabric can be set higher than 1,800MHz. Some CPUs can hit up to around 1,900MHz with the IF clock, but that’s still ‘only’ DDR4-3800. Very fast memory … directory list \u0026 print freeware
